Here's how to boil eggs...
Firstly you have to keep your eggs at room temperature...
- Bring a pan of water to a rolling boil, deep enough for the egg to be completely submerged,
- Gently lower your egg into the water using a spoon, this ensures no cracking,
- Lower the heat a little to a gentle simmer,
- Leave for 4 minutes for a soft boiled dippy egg, the timing is crucial so you'll need some sort of device that times by the second,
- Using your spoon, remove the egg from the water... handle with care as your egg is Very Hot,
- Leave your egg to stand for 20 seconds in an egg cup,
- Hey presto... you now have the perfect boiled egg,
